Electronic Poker is a beloved game that is able to be bet on in casinos all over the world, or in your house on your personal computer, through an Internet account. The rules are absolutely simple and involve the player trying to achieve the highest combination of cards achievable in order to win money. In this respect it’s very similar as a normal game of poker, apart from the involvement with anyother players. Of course, methods employed during a real-life game of poker, like tricking, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the enthusiast puts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and presses the deal button. A 5 card hand will then be electronically ‘given out’ on the screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and gamblers will need to now decide which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they want, from all to none.

After the gambler has chosen which cards he or she would like to keep, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards will be dealt if desired. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.

Normally, the minimum winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It is obvious that the payout schedule can range from machine to machine, so that experienced players are agile enough to select the most profitable ones every time.

After the initial round has played out, the player can either choose to remain on and try to to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that might been won. Additionally, some styles of the game give the player an opportunity to increase their winnings, in which situation a further game is played. There are also differences among individual games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
